When Audi unveiled, in 2021, its e-tron GT electric sedan and its dynamic RS e-tron GT version, criticism was quite unanimous regarding its particularly successful style. The German had top-notch performance and comfort to match its reputation.

The manufacturer has just revealed the mid-life update of the model, keeping most of the design, while improving everything else. Better still, the family is growing with a third, even more efficient model: the RS Performance.

Pounds more and less

A lot of work has been done around the battery, which gains 13 kWh to reach the nice net capacity of 97 kWh. But this does not come at the expense of weight, since the pack loses 9 kg on the scale compared to the old 84 kWh battery.

According to the WLTP approval cycle, the 2025 Audi e-tron GT can travel up to 609 km on a single charge. It is helped in this by the regenerative braking system, whose power has been increased from 290 to 400 kW.

Like its cousin the Porsche Taycan, the power of the on-board fast charger increases from 270 to 320 kW. Beyond this simple peak power figure, the average power curve has been greatly improved in order to maintain a charging speed above 280 kW for quite a long time. In this way, the battery can be charged from 10 to 80% in just 18 minutes, while a 10-minute recharge can save 280 km of range.

You didn’t need it, Audi did it

Do we really need more and more power? To this almost philosophical debate, Audi provides a simple answer: yes!

Thus, the base model, called S e-tron GT, now develops 680 hp (500 kW) via two electric motors, more than the old RS version. The new RS e-tron GT version had to respond, and now has 857 hp (630 kW), also via a dual-motor configuration.

The battery gains 13 kWh but loses 9 kg, it’s all good!

The all-new RS e-tron GT Performance version tops it all off with 925 hp (680 kW), making it the most powerful production Audi ever.

In terms of performance, the exercise from 0 to 100 km/h is completed in 3.4 seconds for the S, in 2.8 seconds for the RS GT and in just 2.5 seconds for the Performance version. In terms of maximum speed, we reach 245 km/h for the first and 250 km/h for the other two.

Dynamism and comfort go hand in hand

At Audi, high performance rhymes with first-rate comfort, and the new e-tron GT is no exception.

Significant improvements have been made to the standard air suspension as well as the optional active suspension. This new system promises to hold the sedan “almost horizontal during braking, cornering and hard acceleration” and offers an adjustable ride height. To offer even more dynamism, the four-wheel steering system is available as an option.

In the cabin, the e-tron GT 2025 range is adorned with new seats (adjustable in 18 directions) and a new steering wheel as well as an optional panoramic glass roof which can become opaque at the press of a button, like on the Renault Rafale.

Prices for the new S e-tron GT start at €126,000, rising to €147,500 for the RS e-tron GT and €160,500 for the RS e-tron GT Performance.
