In a few years, Audi could offer a 100% electric off-road SUV.

The German manufacturer indeed seems to show an interest in the luxury 4×4 segment.

Audi would think of yet another SUV

Barely a few days after lifting the veil on a new mid-SUV/mid-pickup vehicle, the German manufacturer Audi is having fun teasing the possible arrival of a brand new model. If Audi has a wide range of SUVs in its catalog, the latter could follow in the footsteps of Mercedes and Land Rover.

Indeed, the off-road segment is largely dominated by the two manufacturers, and Audi would not be against bringing a little freshness to this very specific market. In any case, this is what the British magazine reveals Coachtelling us that Audi would think of a 100% electric all-terrain, particularly good at crossing.

An electric all-terrain, to dethrone Land Rover and Mercedes!

Regarding the arrival of a new SUV of this type at Audi, Marc Lichte, head of the manufacturer’s design division, told Coach : “ I think there is room. There’s potential because there are only two high-end players, and I think there’s room for a third. »

This future 4×4 signed Audi would not be developed from the SSP, PPE or MEB platforms, but rather via the platform dedicated to future Scout models in the United States, which aim to compete in particular with Rivian, Jeep or Ford.

However, it will be necessary to be really patient before being able to get behind the wheel of this electric all-terrain 4×4 signed Audi, since its launch is not scheduled before the year 2027. It is the Canadian supplier Magna which could accompany Audi in this adventure, this one being already at the origin of a certain… Mercedes Class G.
