Buying MP3 music used to be common practice, but it’s now considered old hat. Streaming has largely replaced this classic business model. Assuming you have an internet connection, you can access web services such as YouTube with a huge pool of songs using a PC, notebook, smartphone or tablet. How to use Spotify and YouTube recorder
With Audials Music 2022 you are equipped to save audio material from numerous portals.
After installation, unlock the program by registering for free. If you then call up Audials Music 2022, you will be greeted by a start screen. Click on one of the tiles to select the service from which you would like to save an audio stream as a local PC file. Recording options include Spotify, Deezer, Amazon Music, Apple Music in iTunes, Tidal, Napster, YouTube, YouTube Music, SoundCloud, Qobuz, Dailymotion, Vimeo and Veoh. Incidentally, the last three services are rather neglected alternatives to YouTube, with Dailymotion being the most well-known.
For example, do you want to play a video on YouTube that contains music from your favorite artist? In that case, click on the “Youtube” tile to record the content. The dialog “Load from Youtube” pops up. There you have the choice between “Record while playing” and “Load by drag-and-drop”. Leave it at the first option you have already chosen. Continue by clicking on “Record”. Now launch the YouTube music video in a browser. Many of the clips initially show advertisements: you can skip them by clicking on the appropriate button.
The YouTube recording takes just a few clicks and works reliably.
It is good that Audials Music 2022 will not archive advertising anyway. The advantage of “skipping” them is that you don’t listen to the content when you’re about to stream a song. The application will display a “Record YouTube” dialog box, ideally containing the title of the web video being played. There is a “Stop” button, but you don’t have to use it. The great thing about Audials Music is that the application transfers tracks much faster than it takes to play them. You can also close a YouTube music video tab in the browser, thanks to the youtube-dl.exe downloader module/process working in the background, the content will save some time on your computer.
If you click through a series of online videos while surfing on YouTube, Audials Music 2022 overdubs the soundtracks played there “on the fly”. You do not need to initiate the process yourself, it runs in the background. In the Audials pop-up that shows you the clip title you just archived, only select “Stop” if you want to cancel the continuous backup process. Then the file downloads will come to an end for the time being.
It doesn’t matter whether you let the advertising play YouTube clips, skip them or close the browser tab with the video: Audials sucks the content onto your disc in its entirety.
Alternatively, you can start playback in Audials Music by right-clicking on the arrow symbol in the line of a transferred file (or right-clicking and selecting “Play” in the context menu). In the test, the detection and downloading of YouTube clips worked with Firefox and Google Chrome, but not with Microsoft Edge.
Do you also want to download YouTube videos from Microsoft Edge? This can be done using a trick: call up your desired video in the Microsoft browser and click in the URL bar. The web address is now highlighted. Hold down the mouse button and drag it into the field at the top right of Audials Music 2022 (“Source or URL”). A dialog will pop up in which you choose “Download”.
Audio recording from Spotify
Recording Spotify content is just as easy as YouTube. You call them up by clicking on the Spotify tile. On Windows 11, the Spotify app will now start automatically. This is where you search for the content you want and start playing it. In Audials Music 2022, press the “Record” button. Before doing this, you may have the idea of activating the “High” setting for “Speed” as an alternative to “Normal”.
The feature is not available in the current Audials Music Edition and requires a paid upgrade. However, the functions that are available free of charge are more than enough to ban fleeting stream content onto the PC disk.
This is how you activate the promotional software “Audials Music 2022”
If you are interested in the software, download it and run the setup file. Make sure you have an internet connection. It is a web installer, otherwise it will not work. Select “Install” on the setup screen. Once setup is complete, the Audials Product Activation window will appear. Enter your first and last name here. Next, the “Create a free Audials account” button is no longer grayed out, click it. In the screen that pops up, fill out the username, email address and password fields. The latter must be entered twice to be on the safe side. Also type in the character string shown in a graphic. By solving this captcha you prove that you are a human and not a robot. Tick the box to agree to the terms of use. Complete with mouse clicks on “Create account > Activate”. If a window pops up at the end that advertises Audials One 2022, close it with the X symbol at the top right.
