Audrey Tautou comes out of silence to speak out about her long absence from the cinema and addresses the personal and artistic projects which now take up all her time. Does she plan to play other roles on the big screen in the future?
The actress Audrey Tautou is becoming rare. The heroine of Fabulous destiny of Amélie Poulain and Da Vinci Code moved away from the media sphere at the same time as she stopped filming. The last feature film in which spectators were able to see him was The Jesus Rolls by John Turturro, released in cinemas in 2019. On the occasion of the release of the animated film Nina and the Magic Hedgehog by Alain Gagnol and Jean-Loup Felicioli, for which she lent her voice, Audrey Tautou provides some details about her choice to press pause. “I made this decision a year or two before my daughter was born.. The 47-year-old actress actually adopted a daughter on her own in Vietnam four years ago. “I must say that my life has changed enormously with motherhood. I spend as much time as possible with my daughter. I want to take advantage of it”she confides to our colleagues, remembering at the same time having “heard too many people saying that they regretted not having done it enough, that those years passed too quickly”.
