Tiger Woods announced on Tuesday his participation in the Augusta Masters 2022, the first Grand Slam of golf of the season.
The tiger still roars. The 46-year-old American golfer should therefore play his first competition since his accident which occurred thirteen months ago. “If all goes well, I will play the Masters,” he said at a press conference.
“For now, I’m going to play,” said five-time winner Tiger Woods. It’s about how my body will recover from this effort and what it can do the next day.

The golfer, who will test himself one last time on the course on Wednesday, has completed two nine-hole practice sessions over the past two days. On Monday, thousands of fans were there to cheer him on.
And if this “long marathon” will not be a cakewalk as he admitted, Woods does not intend to make up the numbers for his return. “I think I can win the Masters this week,” he said.
Golf legend, winner of 15 Grand Slam events, Woods was seriously injured in the right leg, narrowly avoiding amputation, in a car accident on February 23, 2021 near Los Angeles.
