A few days after Auma Obama had to say goodbye to her grandmother, the mother of the “Let’s Dance” candidate also died.

On the dance floor of the RTL show “Let’s Dance”, Auma Obama (61) puts on a radiant face week after week. However, these days should not be easy for the half-sister of the former US President Barack Obama (59). After the author’s grandmother died at the end of March, she now has to say goodbye again.

“I lost my beloved mother yesterday. I have no words”, Obama announced to her Instagram followers on Wednesday (April 14th). The sad news is accompanied by a black and white picture that, according to the “Let’s Dance” candidate, was taken in Kenya, the country of her birth. In addition to mother Kezia, it shows a then still young Auma and probably one of her six siblings.

“Let’s Dance” is the Charleston

Some of Obama’s “Let’s Dance” colleagues already expressed their condolences under the entry, such as the two celebrity dancers Valentina Pahde (26) and Jan Hofer (69) as well as the jury members Motsi Mabuse (40) and Jorge González (53). As the news agency spot on news learned when asked by the broadcaster RTL, Auma Obama will compete “as things stand” despite the loss on Friday (April 16). In the sixth “Let’s Dance” live show, she dances a Charleston together with dance partner Andrzej Cibis (33).
