In Austria, several employees of a company were vaccinated against the coronavirus with the same syringe.
The health care provider Vamed, who had been commissioned by the sheet metal rolling mill Voestalpine with the vaccinations, spoke on Friday of an “individual medical failure”.
During controls it was found “that the number of vaccination doses and materials used by one of the doctors did not match the number of people vaccinated”.

The doctor vaccinated a total of 59 employees at the company in Mürzzuschlag, Styria. She said that she could have used some of the syringes and needles several times. Vamed did not give a reason for the medicine’s mistake. The medic was released from duty.
He was deeply affected and immediately informed the public prosecutor, the medical association and the health authorities, added the health service provider. In a statement, Voestalpine expressed its incomprehension about the incident and demanded comprehensive clarification as to how it could have come about. In addition, a detailed review of all vaccination routes in the group was initiated. The employees now all have to go to an HIV test. (man / AFP)
