Asko has created a surprise with its °Celsius cooking plates and, above all, with the stoves that can connect to them via Bluetooth, but the Swedish company also has something new in terms of dishwashers. More specifically, it is adding to its catalog a DW60 series made up of 15 models — 10 built-in, two free-standing and three built-in — which can accommodate 14 to 17 place settings. Just that ! And the capacity would be far from being their only asset, according to the manufacturer.
Modularity for a maximum of cutlery
In addition to offering up to four drawers, the DW60 dishwashers redouble their ingenuity to adapt to dishes and kitchen utensils. The top one, for example, is adjustable in height to allow mugs to pass over the middle one.
There are also retaining lugs and rubber clips for different types of glasses, but also a removable holder for bottles and baby bottles. For more effective cleaning of these, but also of pots and other large containers, Power Zones can also be activated in the bottom to take advantage of more targeted water jets than with the washing arms. All these modular elements have a yellow color supposed to facilitate their identification, just like the filter which you must obviously not forget to rinse regularly under penalty of seeing the washing performance decrease.
Elimination of bacteria and bad odors
Since we are talking about washing performance, we should point out that Asko has provided a Hygiene program at 70°C for washing sensitive dishes such as baby bottles, as well as a Quick Pro program for washing and drying in 59 minutes. To go even further, some models in the DW60 series benefit from a technology called UV Cleanse. Thanks to UV-C lamps, the rinsing water can be sterilized and thus eliminate up to 99.99% of bacteria and fungi remaining after washing.
For drying, finally, the dishwasher opens its door, but Asko evokes a sensor allowing it to take the outside temperature and to wait if it is colder in the kitchen to avoid creating condensation. Some models also incorporate fans in the inner door to speed up drying, but also to avoid the formation of bad odors before washing if dirty dishes are stored there for several days, so as not to run it empty or almost empty. example.
Self-dosing, a practical as well as economical advantage
The new Asko dishwashers are also intended to be more practical, in particular thanks to the integration of automatic dosing on the best-equipped models. A reservoir is provided in the door to accommodate liquid gel. Its 0.5 liter capacity should be enough to chain about thirty cycles with the right dose regardless of the brand, underlines the manufacturer, who recalls that the doses used are often too high… even with tablets. Automatic dosing is therefore both practical and economical, even if a compartment is still provided for tablets and powder on equipped models.

Also on the economic aspect, a large part of the DW60 range incorporates a heat exchanger with a 2.1 liter tank to limit energy consumption, and Asko claims to have carried out enough tests on its new dishwashers to announce a lifespan of at least 20 years. To take advantage of it, it will nevertheless be necessary to pay at least 999 €. The best-equipped models cost more than €2,000.
