Sales volumes of young second-hand cars fell by -19.4%. The only segment to increase in volume is that of cars over sixteen years old with +6.2%. Could also be a consequence of the increase in the average ad price. Rates have increased by 14.4% in one year on the AutoScout24 site.

Diesel, gasoline, electric, what do the French really buy?

The majority of French people favor second-hand vehicles. It sold 3.5 used vehicles for every new one. Diesel continues to fall, falling further by -12.5% ​​in volume. Quite the opposite of hybrid and electric second-hand cars, which continue to grow respectively at +34.7% and +58.7%.

The most represented brand in second-hand sales remains Renault with 84,528 brand vehicle transactions in May 2022. The leading foreign manufacturer is Volkswagen, which sold 34,900 used vehicles in the month.
