Automotive: charging station operator Power Dot raises 150 million euros


This sum will allow the development of several facilities, in a context of increasing sales of electric cars.

Charging station operator Power Dot announced on Wednesday that it has raised 150 million euros to expand its facilities, as sales of electric cars accelerate.

The French infrastructure fund Antin has takena position of co-controlin this company already present in Belgium, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain and Poland. This investmentallows it to accelerate its deployment in France with a target of at least 7,000 fast charging points in the territory“, underlined the management of Power Dot in a press release.

2500 terminals already deployed in France

Founded in 2018 in Portugal, Power Dot specializes in the installation of terminals in retail car parks, particularly around supermarkets and shopping centers, so that customers can recharge their vehicles while shopping. The company finances the terminals and ensures their operation.

Power Dot set up in France at the end of 2020 and deployed 450 charging stations, i.e. 2,500 terminals, in the car parks of brands such as Cora, Match Supermarkets, E.Leclerc and KFC.
