Autopsy Report: Actress Naya Rivera "yelled for help"

According to the autopsy report, Naya Rivera yelled for help before she died. The actress drowned in a lake in July.

A now published autopsy report provides new details on the death of "Glee" star Naya Rivera (1987-2020). The actress had raised her arm and screamed for help after putting her son back in the boat from the water.

Rivera had rented the boat on July 8th to take her four-year-old son on a trip on Lake Piru in Ventura County, California. The little boy was later found sleeping on the boat. On July 13, Rivera's body was discovered by divers. The authorities confirmed that the 33-year-old drowned, so her death was an accident.

Rivera was "a good swimmer"

The coroner's report, from which "The Hollywood Reporter" quoted, among other things, said about the swimming accident: After his mother had helped him return to the boat, the boy noticed "that the deceased raised her arm in the air and called 'Help' ". Rivera then disappeared into the water.

The 33-year-old was a safe swimmer, according to the coroner's report. The man who rented her the boat said she had refused a life jacket, but he had given her one anyway. Before she died, Rivera is said to have had dizziness and sinus infections, and had a small amount of amphetamines in her blood, which she was prescribed. But this has nothing to do with her death.
