Autumn cocktails: these 3 sweeten the season

Aperol spritz, pina colada and strawberry margarita sweetened our summer. And who is now responsible for a few fun autumn days? Well, these three delicacies.

When it gets cold outside, we need to provide internal warmth. These three autumnal cocktails can do that perfectly. Whether at the next girls' evening, on Halloween or simply on any Monday evening. Who cares?

1. Wonderfully autumnal – "Vanilla Vodka Chai Latte"

  • 180 ml chai tea
  • 3 cl vanilla vodka
  • 2 cl amaretto
  • 1.5 cl sugar syrup
  • 1.5 cl cream

Preparation:

Put the chai tea bag in a cup of boiling water and let it steep for a moment. Then let the tea cool down completely. Then put all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker – and shake it! Shaking the cream will make the cream frothy and release the aromas of the alcohol. No shaker at home? No problem! The ingredients can also be stirred together in a tall glass. Shaken, not stirred like James Bond? It doesn't matter – the main thing is that it pops. To serve, fill the glass with ice, carefully pour the drink over it and garnish with two cinnamon sticks.

2. Tongue flatterer – "Rosemary Maple Bourbon Sour"

ingredients

  • 13.5 cl bourbon
  • 6.5 cl lemon juice
  • 4 cl maple syrup
  • 1 large sprig of rosemary

recipe

Crush the rosemary leaves in your hand so that the aromas can develop better. Off to the blender. Pour in bourbon, lemon juice, maple syrup and some ice and shake vigorously in the shaker for 15 seconds. Then pour into bourbon glasses and garnish with a small sprig of rosemary – voilĂ !

3. Sparkling affair – plum-thyme-prosecco

Ingredients for the thyme syrup

  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • Sprigs of thyme

Ingredients for the cocktail

  • 3 plums
  • 6 sprigs of thyme
  • Juice of one lemon
  • 2 cl thyme syrup (see above)
  • 1 bottle of Prosecco (yes, please!)

preparation

For the thyme syrup: bring the water and sugar to a boil, remove from the heat and add a few sprigs of thyme. Then stir vigorously, sieve and let cool completely. Everything cold? Then it's time for the cocktail: Peel and chop two plums and mix with the syrup and lemon juice until a thick juice is formed. If you don't want any fruit leftovers in your cocktail, you can sift the mixture again. Then add ice to the cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Distribute evenly in the glasses and fill up with sparkling wine as you like (i.e. properly). Decorate with a sprig of thyme and enjoy immediately.
