Autumn crafts with children: the most beautiful ideas

Using autumn creatively with children is really good fun! Everywhere nature releases treasures with which we can implement many beautiful craft ideas. With a little help, even small children can make little men out of pine cones and put pictures with leaves. Most of the time it doesn't take much – other than a little time and a little support from parents. In our photo series we have gathered the most beautiful ideas for handicrafts. And if you need even more inspiration, you will surely find the following craft ideas:

Autumn crafts with natural materials

Natural materials abound in autumn. During a nice walk in the forest you can collect chestnuts, acorns, leaves, cones & Co. Let the materials dry for a few days so they don't get moldy later.

Tinker chestnut figures

For small figurines you need a hand drill and a chestnut holder. So you can clamp the nuts and drill small holes in them. The parents do the drilling. The children can later stick shortened toothpicks or matches in the holes and thus connect the fruits together. Googly eyes are then glued on. The chestnut parade for autumn is here!

Make pictures out of leaves

Whether as a lion's mane or a squirrel's tail – colorful autumn leaves are a real blaze of color in our autumn handicrafts. You can find out how to dry the leaves here. Then let your creativity run free: The leaves have many different shapes and are perfect for putting together motifs.

Potato print

Do you feel like stamping? Then let's get to the potatoes! The motifs should be cut out by an adult, but then the kids can happily stamp on it. There are more tips and tricks on potato printing here.

Autumn crafts with paper

Ghosts for Halloween

Halloween is getting closer, so we can let a few little ghosts fly through the apartment! Painted parchment paper or sandwich bags emit a sweet lamp spirit that the children can design with felt-tip pens. It also shines eerily beautifully above a LED light!

Window pictures for Thanksgiving

Colorful tracing paper creates a magnificent window decoration as a window picture! Cut out the motif from craft paper. The tracing paper is then torn into pieces and glued on, always overlapping.

We wish you a lot of fun doing handicrafts and many creative hours in autumn!
