In front of the Gotthard north portal on the A2 motorway, a 14-kilometer motorcade has formed between Erstfeld and Göschenen.
The waiting time is up to two hours and 20 minutes.
The Touring Club of Switzerland (TCS) cites traffic congestion as the reason for the traffic jam, as it writes on the short message service X, formerly Twitter. Already early in the morning the motorcade was ten kilometers from the Gotthard Tunnel.
