Autumn Kitchen: You should cook these 4 recipes now

Autumn has so much to offer in culinary terms that you can hardly decide between all the delicacies. We reveal our four favorite recipes that you shouldn't miss!

Whether pumpkins, mushrooms, pears or plums – many types of vegetables and fruits are in season in autumn, so it is anything but monotonous on the plate. So that you can keep track, we present our favorites, which you should definitely cook.

1. Pumpkin soup

The pumpkin soup is of course the autumn classic. And for good reason, because it not only tastes incredibly delicious, but is also easy to prepare and warms us on cold days. There are countless variations for the dream in orange: The soup can be refined with cream, for example, it can be spicy with ginger or how about preparing it with a butternut squash instead of the Hokkaido? Our favorite recipe is definitely this exotic pumpkin soup with coconut milk, which is on the table in just 30 minutes and is even vegan!

2. Flammkuchen

Autumn time is tarte flambée time! We love the thin, crispy dough that can be topped in so many ways. It starts with the cream: Are you more of a Team Schmand or do you prefer it classic with crème fraîche? You can let off steam as you please on the topping. Whether savory with ham, vegetarian with vegetables or even sweet, for example with apple and cinnamon – there are no limits to your creativity. The classic is still the original Alsatian tarte flambée with onions and bacon, which you can easily make yourself with our recipe.

3. Mushroom pan

Mushrooms, boletus and king oyster mushrooms are representative of many types of mushrooms that are now in season. They come into their own in a delicious mushroom pan, with crispy fried onions and, for example, seasoned with cream. If you want something a little more unusual, we recommend our mushroom pan with lingonberries, which contains mushrooms and shiitake mushrooms as well as gorgonzola and mascarpone.

4. Onion Pie

The basis of onion tart is an airy yeast dough, which is topped with whisked eggs and, of course, lots of onions. Bacon is then sprinkled over the classic onion cake, and those who eat a vegetarian diet can use paprika as an alternative. Add a glass of Federweißer and autumn can come!
