Autumn / winter trends 2020: that's what we wear

Do you want to know what will be trendy in autumn and winter? No problem! We reveal four trends that we will see everywhere.

Even if we don't want to think about winter, mud and candlelight at the moment, there are already a few trends that we definitely shouldn't miss – and ideally buy now. You can already wear some of them now …

Belted jackets

We're already wearing belts this summer in combination with our favorite summer dress – so why not in autumn too? This autumn / winter season we girdle jackets and blazers casually at the waist. For example, Prada has shown wool blazers with leather belts, while Miu Miu styles the belts with puffer jackets. Either way, it looks pretty cool. You can even try the look easily with your favorite belt. The main thing is that it fits snugly around the waist.

Capes

Last year the capes didn't really catch on, but maybe this time they will break through. No matter if buttoned or as a poncho – at Celine and Balenciaga we saw the trend on the catwalks and fell in love immediately. Especially in the transition to autumn, the parts are just amazing. Again, you are welcome to play with a belt around your waist so that the silhouette is emphasized a little more.

Fringes

On handbags, leather jackets or shirts – in autumn we can hardly get past fringes. We don't even want to. Sure, they can sometimes seem a bit too much, but when combined correctly they look really cool. Just make sure that the rest of the outfit is rather simple and without a lot of trimmings. Blogger Ashley Schuberg shows how we can wear the trend in a monochrome look. Calm and casual at the same time. We like!

Knit vests

We still know the good old knitted vests from Grandma – let's hope she hasn't thrown them away yet. Because they'll definitely come back in autumn and winter. At Dior and Prada they are worn over shirts and shirts. We'll do it right away! The Scandinavian blogger Matilda Djerf combines the knitted vest with a striped blouse. However, make sure that only one part has a pattern – either the knitted vest or the top underneath. Otherwise it will be too much.

If you want, you can of course already wear the new trends for autumn and winter 2020. When the first cold days announce themselves, you will be well equipped with it.
