More than 30 years ago, director James Cameron shot a fake Dummies ad! An unusual video to review on the occasion of the release of Avatar 2.
At the end of the 1980s, while he was in France to promote his new feature film Abyss, director James Cameron showed a great deal of humor and self-mockery, and acted as an actor for a sketch of the Draws. The filmmaker had lent himself to an interview in front of the camera, parodying a famous advertisement for shampoo.

In an interview for Télérama, Alain Chabat told behind the scenes of the filming of this fake ad, and explained that several years later, James Cameron remembered this video and Alain Chabat whom he had recognized. “An incredible but true guy!“
Sam Raimi, Luc Besson, or even Michel Blanc had lent themselves to the exercise, as we can see in this video bringing together all the parodies of this shampoo ad.
James Cameron is currently showing, with the release of Avatar 2, which is a hit all over the world. The film has already exceeded 5 million admissions in France and should soon exceed Top Gun 2 at the Top of the year 2022.
