Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Won’t Release Until Fiscal Year 2023

The long-awaited game about James Cameron’s extra-terrestrial universe has just been postponed. Originally planned for the year 2022, to accompany the film of December 14, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora sees its release date shifted to the next fiscal year, i.e. 2023-2024. We will therefore have to wait a long time before we can set foot on these lands.

Ubisoft’s open world was particularly anticipated, especially because it was to accompany the sequel to James Cameron’s trilogy. Since its announcement at Ubisoft Forward, the title has remained very discreet, and has been absent this year. We can therefore assume that he is far from ready. A news which is not surprising in itself, but which further lengthens the list of postponed games.

We don’t know much about Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, except that he wants to create a new independent story. Letting you embody a Na’vi, the gameplay should take into account all the particularities of this unique race. Unfortunately, we didn’t get any gameplay images or details. It should therefore be in line with the recent open worlds at the Zelda: Breath of the Wild Where Horizon Forbidden West. Note that the game runs with the Snowdrop engine, which makes you want to dive into it by watching the trailer.
