Avatar: The Last Airbender (Netflix) – Lots of new posters before the trailer

Only one more month to wait! Scheduled for February 22, 2024 on the Netflix streaming platform, the live action adaptation ofAvatar: The Last Airbender has just cleared up part of the mystery with a slew of new posters, before the trailer planned for tomorrow.

To wait, fans can discover four posters featuring Aang (Gordon Cormier), Katara (Kiawentiio), Sokka (Ian Ousley) and Zuko (Dallas Liu) preparing for combat. One poster per character and per element, but also for each of the four nations which are at the heart of this future series.

As a reminder, the series is the adaptation of the eponymous anime from the 2000s, which follows the adventures of Aang, the young Avatar, as he learns to master the four elements to restore balance in a world threatened by the terrifying Fire Nation.

In addition to these specific visuals, the Netflix series also has a new main poster, on which we can also see Fire Lord Ozai (Daniel Dae Kim), Uncle Iroh (Paul Sun-Hyung Lee) and even the ‘adorable Appa. Check it out below:

Created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko in 2005, the animated series Avatar: The Airbender was a real generational success, and established itself as one of the emblematic programs of the 2000s. A plebiscite which gave rise to a first mediocre adaptation in 2010, and to a sequel in a better quality animated series, titled The Legend of Korrain 2012.

This new Netflix series is created and written by Albert Kim (Sleepy Hollow, Pantheon), and the ten episodes are directed by Michael Goi (Big Sky), Roseanne Liang (Shadow in the Cloud), Jabbar Raisani (Game Of Thrones) and Jet Wilkinson (The Old Man).

Just like the recent live-action version of One PieceNetflix intends to create with Avatar a popular (and lucrative) new franchise. See you tomorrow for the trailer!
