The first teaser trailer for the long-awaited “Avatar” sequel is here! Impressive pictures once again cause amazement.

Sci-Fi fans can finally get a glimpse of moving footage from the long-awaited sequel to the blockbuster Avatar. The Walt Disney Studios have the first teaser trailer released for the movie “Avatar: The Way of Water”. The approximately one and a half minute clip not only provides a first glimpse into the new adventures of Jake Sully’s (Sam Worthington, 45) and his Neytiri (Zoe Saldana, 43) family, but also promises a lot of excitement and emotions.

According to Disney, the action takes place more than a decade after the events of the first film, with which James Cameron (67) wrote cinema history at the time. The viewers can therefore expect a new exciting story from the Na’vi couple, who have now had several children. Jake and Neytiri must once again fight and deal with dramatic experiences in part two in order to survive and protect their family. “One thing I know: wherever we go, this family is our fortress,” Jake addresses his great love at the end of the clip with a serious expression.

Impressive scene again

In addition to an exciting plot, viewers can once again look forward to impressive images of the planet Pandora and its inhabitants. The first part, “Avatar – Aufbruch nach Pandora”, caused amazement with its animated effects and received three Oscars in the categories “Best Production Design”, “Best Camera” and “Best Visual Effects”.

Starring alongside Zoe Saldana and Sam Worthington are Sigourney Weaver (72), Stephen Lang (69), Cliff Curtis (53), Joel David Moore (44), CCH Pounder (69), Edie Falco (58), Jemaine Clement (48 ), Giovanni Ribisi (47) and Kate Winslet (46). “Avatar: The Way of Water” will start in German cinemas on December 14, 2022.
