Avenir Telecom: A plan to return to growth

(CercleFinance.com) – Avenir Telecom unveiled on Friday a plan aimed at improving its commercial performance in order to return to growth after a 39% drop in its turnover over the past financial year.

The manufacturer of mobile phones and accessories under the Energizer brand indicates that the plan provides for analytical management of business development, supervised directly by the management committee, from opportunity generation to product delivery.

The objective is to maximize transformation and deploy best practices across all geographic areas.

The Marseille group also says it is aiming to implement a ‘key accounts’ policy, again managed directly by general management, aimed at maximizing opportunities with key customers, particularly in France.

Thanks to this action plan, Avenir Télécom hopes to return to growth in its 2024/2025 financial year, with a ramp-up planned for the second half of the year, thanks to the arrival of new products from the start of the 2024 school year.

“We are aware that our 2023 commercial performance does not live up to the expectations and potential of our group,” declared Robert Schiano, its CEO.

For the 2023/2024 financial year, ended at the end of March, the company recorded an annual turnover down 39% to 14.1 million euros, in a context of persistent decline in the smartphone market.

Following these announcements, Avenir Telecom shares fell by more than 10% on Friday on the Paris Stock Exchange.
