On February 13, three people were indicted for the murder of a fifty-something who has been missing since the end of January in Aveyron. One of them admitted to having killed and then dismembered the man, before having dispersed his members around the town.
On February 5, a resident of Coupiac, in Aveyron, went missing. The 57-year-old man has no no sign of life since the end of January. Living without water or electricity, he is still very integrated into the life of the town, and used his bank card for the last time on January 30, reports the Center Aveyron newspaper.
The case quickly challenged the investigators because the relatives of the victim continued to receive SMS from his phone. On the other hand, the content of the messages had nothing to do with the usual phrasing of the disappeared, indicates Midi Libre. The regional daily also reported that three people – a 57-year-old man, his 43-year-old partner and a 30-year-old, their friend – were arrested a few days later. They were then indictments in Montpellier on February 13 for kidnapping, followed by death and concealment of a corpse. They were then incarcerated.
The course of the victim discovered in a garden
During his hearing, one of the suspects “admitted to killing, burning and cut up the victim at his home”, revealed a source close to the investigation at Midi Libre. The victim’s limbs were then scattered in a garden, as well as around the town where the victim lived. And indeed, the investigators did indeed discover parts of the body of the disappeared in the garden of a private individual. Items belonging to the latter were also found among the suspects.
According to Midi Libre, for the time being, nothing could justify such an act. Especially since according to the mayor of Coupiac with Center Aveyron, the victim was very involved in local community life and in particular in the petanque club of the town.
