AVM: Fritz!Box 7510 receives new Fritz!OS

AVM is rolling out a new update for the Fritz!Box 7510. This is intended to fix the PPPoE error.

  • AVM distributes a new Fritz!OS version for the Fritz!Box 7510.
  • The update contains innovations, improvements and bug fixes.
  • The PPPoE error should no longer appear after the update.

The German company AVM diligently distributes updates for routers in the Fritz!Box series. Now the Fritz!Box 7510 is getting a new update. Included is the Fritz!OS 7.30, which should fix the PPPoE error.

As the manufacturer reports on its own website, the update also contains many new features.

Fritz!OS 7.30 offers these new features:

  • Easily activate prioritization of a computer in the home office
  • Fritz!Fon shows the weather forecast on the start screen
  • Fritz!Dect 500 receives light sequence “falling asleep / waking up”
  • Fritz!Dect 400 can display humidity
  • Fritz! Smart Home supports shutter control
  • Integrated fax machine in Fritz!Box receives a journal for received and sent faxes
  • Improvements to the user interface for using the phone book, call forwarding and call blocks

In addition, the error that no Internet connection can be established under certain circumstances (PPPoE error) should no longer occur.

You can start the update by clicking “Start update” on the user interface. You can also download the new Fritz!OS version from the AVM FTP server and install it manually.
