AVM starts update with new functions for FritzApp Fon

AVM is launching a function update for all FritzBox owners who use the iOS app FritzFon for the iPhone. The company has announced new features, including blocking and unblocking unsaved phone numbers.

Anyone who uses a FritzBox and owns an iPhone can now download the new app version 5.1.0. The Internet specialist AVM has now given the application a number of new functions, and there are also improvements. The innovations include the simple blocking and unblocking of phone numbers that have not been saved in the call list, as well as the display of fax messages. There is also an improved dark mode and a revised function for listening to voice messages directly in the call list. The complete list of changes can be found at the end of this post.

The new FritzApp Fon version is available as an automatic update and can be downloaded from the iOS store.

iPhone as a landline phone

Incoming calls can be accepted and outgoing calls can be made via the app. With the app, a smartphone or tablet can be connected to the FritzBox via WLAN and then used like a landline telephone. The prerequisite for the connection between the smartphone and FritzBox is FritzOS 7.20 or newer, as well as iOS 14. AVM would like feedback so that the app can also be adapted to customer requirements.
