Multiple versions of its new portable console are expected with (somewhat) different specifications.
In the middle of last week, AYANEO formalized its new Ryzen-based portable console and showered the hopes of some users by confirming that the Ryzen 6000 and its RDNA 2 graphics solution would not be on the menu.
A Ryzen 7 5825U “Barcelo”
Through a long message on his Chinese blog, AYANEO returned to this choice and Videocardz details the content. The manufacturer first specifies that there will be no question of using the same APU on all consoles, obviously due to supply constraints.
The AYANEO Next will be available in three models: the Next, the Next PRO and the Next Advanced. While the latter seemed to be the most advanced with its specific color and signature on the back, it will use a Ryzen 7 5800U when the other two will be entitled to the Ryzen 7 5825U.
The Ryzen 7 5825U is the “Barcelo” variant that is the source of many rumors. It still combines Zen 3 and Vega Graphics, but with different frequencies: 100 MHz more on the Zen 3 (2.0 / 4.5 GHZ vs. 1.9 / 4.4 GHz), but 200 MHz less on the GPU (1.8 GHz vs. 2 GHz).
Small structure, delicate supply
In addition, AYANEO returned to the absence of Ryzen 6000 within its console. An absence that the company seems to regret, but impossible to avoid given the current state of the schedule and production.
“The AYA team also made it clear that they will do their best to let fans experience the charms of the 6000 series as early as possible, but that will surely be at the end of the year. At this stage, as a small factory, it is too difficult to get hold of this 6000 series. “
Nothing is officially confirmed, but it is possible that AYANEO will release a new console (or an update to the current one) incorporating the Ryzen 6000, and this, at the end of the year. Let us recall in this regard that AYANEO is never stingy with products: two consoles have already been launched in 2021.
