The ongoing corona pandemic appears to have triggered a true baby boom in 2021. This was also noticeable in the world of stars and royals. These celebrities were happy to have offspring.

Quiet and secret …

While numerous expectant mothers proudly present their pregnancy balls, this year many stars decided to keep a secret for the time being that they were expecting a child. The German top model Toni Garrn (29) and the British singer Ellie Goulding (34) each presented their belly to the world for the first time on the cover of “Vogue”. Before that, their pregnancies were not publicly known. Goulding’s son was born in early May and is the first child of the artist and her husband Caspar Jopling. Toni Garrn and her husband, actor Alex Pettyfer (31), became parents for the first time in July.

The baby news from Scarlett Johansson (37) came as a similar surprise in mid-August of that year. On the same day that her pregnancy became public, news made the rounds that she had already had her child. Husband Colin Jost (39) confirmed the good news a short time later on Instagram.

Naomi Campbell also hit the headlines when she announced in May that she would become a mother at the age of 50. Nothing was previously known about a partner by her side or a pregnancy. Emma Stone (33), Natalie Dormer (39) and Kirsten Dunst (39) were also able to hide their pregnancies for a long time before the happy news was announced later this year.

There were also plenty of offspring among the Royals in 2021. Queen Elizabeth II (95) became great-grandmother four times this year. She currently has a total of twelve great-grandchildren. Little Lucas Philip Tindall, son of Zara Tindall (39) and her husband Mike Tindall (42), made the Queen great-grandmother for the tenth time. He was born on March 21st.

But that’s not all: On June 4th Archie had his first sibling. Duchess Meghan (40) and Prince Harry (37) became parents for the second time and were happy about the birth of their daughter Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor. On September 18, the British royal family grew by another member: Eugenie’s sister, Princess Beatrice (33), became a mother for the first time. She and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi (38) named their daughter Sienna Elizabeth.

The Swedish royal family was also happy about baby news in 2021. Prince Carl Philip (41) and Princess Sofia of Sweden (36) have become parents for the third time. Her third son, Prince Julian Herbert Folke, Duke of Halland, was born on March 26th.

Jessi and Nik Schröder, who both took part in “Bachelor” formats but only found each other later, also became parents for the first time in autumn. Hailey Emilia was born on September 2nd. And the former “Bachelor” participant and ex-girlfriend of Johannes Haller, Yeliz Koc (28), became a mother in 2021. Their daughter Snow Elanie was born in October.
