Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie and Tobey Maguire – cocaine, rattlesnakes and bare breasts: The first trailer for “Babylon: Rush of Ecstasy” is here. the clip, which Paramount Pictures has now releasedprovides a spectacular first impression of the new film by “La La Land” director Damien Chazelle (37).
“Babylon” is set in 1920s Hollywood, the decade in which the Los Angeles borough became a dream factory. Margot Robbie (32) embodies a young wannabe starlet. While sharing coke with her lover, she dreams of a “life that’s like a party” in the trailer – and apparently of a great film career.
Brad Pitt as an aging movie star
Brad Pitt (58) plays an established Hollywood star who looks back for the first time in his career – and thinks about the future. According to director Chazelle, Pitt’s character is inspired by early movie stars like Douglas Fairbanks. Tobey Maguire (47) can also be seen briefly, in his first film appearance after a seven-year break.
Stylistically, the trailer is reminiscent of Baz Lurmann’s “The Great Gatsby” – just not quite as spectacular and stylized. But there are surprisingly revealing pictures of naked breasts to see. Babylon is slated to hit theaters worldwide in January 2023.
