Babylon’s Fall smelled scorched even before it came out. The players have made known their disinterest in the gameplay and the artistic direction of theAction RPG cooperative of PlatinumGames even before its release, but the studio and publisher Square-Enix have still decided to move forward by trying to improve the rendering and sensations after the beta phases and then the official launch.
Unsurprisingly, the success was not there, but the developers still hoped to raise the bar with technical and content updates. 6 months after the launch, it is clear that Babylon’s Fall don’t take, then Square-Enix and PlatinumGames have decided to cut the servers on February 28, 2023, making the experience designed for multiplayer unplayable. Planned patches and expansions are de facto cancelled.
Until then, the community will be able to benefit from the Season 2 until November 29 and a Final Season until the endbut the sale of premium currency Garaz and both physical and digital sales of the game will be suspended counting from this day.

Thank you very much for playing Babylon’s Fall.
With the goal of delivering an exhilarating online multiplayer action role-playing game set in a fantasy world, we launched the game’s official service on Thursday, March 3, 2022. Since then, we have continued to undertake development and operations additional. However, it is with deep regret that we inform you that we will be ending the service of the game on February 28, 2023.
Therefore, we will also cancel the large-scale updates that we had considered. As for what’s next, Season 2 will continue until Tuesday, November 29, 2022 as scheduled, and Season Finale will begin with scheduled maintenance on the same day. This Final Season is the period during which you will be able to claim the Season 2 ranking rewards.
In order to express our gratitude to all our players, we plan to implement as many events and other initiatives as possible, until the end of the service.

Conclusion

We really felt like we were able to create the world of Babylon’s Fall with our players. Despite all your support, we are sincerely sad and sorry to announce that we will not be able to continue to service the game.
