Babysitting 2 leaves Amazon Prime Video: is a third installment relevant?

The comedy “Babysitting 2” directed and performed by Philippe Lacheau will leave the catalog of the Amazon Prime Video platform on May 4!

In 2014 with the release of Babysitting, his very first production, Philippe Lacheau became known to the public who had not seen his sketches filmed with his group of friends, la Bande à Fifi. Rewarded by a triumph in theaters (2.3 million admissions), the comedian was quick to immediately put a sequel in the works, soberly titled Babysitting 2.

Taking up the concept of the first film, this second opus was shot largely in Brazil, with the presence in the casting of the actors of Babysitting, as well as a newcomer to the adventure: Christian Clavier. With more than three million admissions at the box office, this sequel confirmed Philippe Lacheau’s status as the new pillar of French comedy.

After having tried his hand at adapting manga (Nicky Larson and Cupid’s perfume) then at parodying superheroes (Super-heroes despite him), Philippe Lacheau will soon give a sequel to Alibi.com, another of its successes. Remember that the latter is also the co-host of the game LOL: Qui Rit, Sort! streamed on Prime Video.

If he does not rule out shooting a third Babysitting one day, the actor and director nevertheless confided in several interviews that he would only agree to make the film on the condition of finding a good starting idea. A condition which also applies to a possible Nicky Larson 2, also requested by the fans. All hopes are therefore allowed, but it will probably be necessary to be patient before hoping to discover these two films in the cinema!

While waiting to perhaps discover a third part, do not waste time to (re) see Babysitting 2, which will definitively leave the Amazon Prime Video catalog on May 4!
