Netflix is releasing the final season of My First Times, which tells the story of Dev, an Indian-American high school student who experiences the throes of adolescence while recovering from the death of her father.
It is an understatement to say if the young girl, played by the revelation Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, is experiencing intense emotional storms before our eyes.
Co-creators Mindy Kaling (who draws inspiration from her own life) and Lang Fisher had planned 4 seasons from the start (if success followed) in order to chronicle all of Dev’s high school education and her friends. And in three years, the heroine will have experienced “first times”: first boyfriend, first alcoholic evening, first kiss and others…
In season 4, consisting of 10 episodes, Dev has only one ambition: to be selected for Princeton. And the race for university will be strewn with pitfalls for our heroine, who has her head elsewhere.
Between her relationship with Ben (with whom she finally slept), Paxton who is never far away, and the arrival of a new handsome kid in high school (played by the brilliant Michael Cimino), not everything is going to go as foreseen.
Expect laughter, a few tears, and a nice lesson with the end of My First Times, which will have marked the audiovisual landscape by featuring a heroine of Indian origin (after Quantico and Master of None in another kind). And enjoy John McEnroe as a narrator one last time in the original version!
