The comedy Bad Moms airs tonight on TFX. Released in theaters in August 2016, the feature film by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore follows 3 mothers (Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn) who embark on a crazy trip in search of fun and relaxation, far from their conventional responsibilities.
Which tends to tense the clan of Gwendoline (Christina Applegate), the head of the parents of students and her perfect mothers…
A fun comedy that makes parents and especially mothers feel guilty. With a budget of $20 million, this comedy brought in $184 million at the international box office.
A year and a half later, the 3 imperfect and irreverent mothers returned to theaters for the Christmas holidays with Bad Moms 2.
In this sequel Amy, Kiki and Carla are anxious as Christmas approaches, especially at the idea of finding their own demanding and critical mothers. This second part brought in 130 million worldwide for a budget of $28 million.

2 spin-off projects
A result that gave the production company STX the desire to launch a franchise. At ComicCon 2019, the studio announced that directors Jon Lucas and Scott Moore would be developing spin-offs to their comedy and even a series.
The first film titled Bad Moms’ Moms will focus on the mothers of our bad mothers. The latter already appear in the second opus and are embodied by Cheryl Hines, Christine Baranski and Susan Sarandon. The second should focus on fathers.
Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn should therefore make appearances but they will not be the main actresses.
But with the Covid-19 pandemic these projects have been put on hold and since 2020, no more news… Jon Lucas and Scott Moore having no known project to date, it is possible that they are actively in the process of to work on these films. To be continued.
