BAE Systems: will modernize Boeing’s refueling drone

(CercleFinance.com) – BAE Systems announces that it has been selected by Boeing to modernize and update the computer (VMSC) of the MQ-25A, the US Navy’s unmanned refueling drone.

According to BAE Systems, this update ‘will deliver advanced capabilities, enabling this platform to execute the critical missions of today and tomorrow, while also reducing the amount of hardware required on the aircraft.’

BAE also specifies that the multi-core processor selected for the VMSC MQ-25 recently completed its qualification on another American military platform, thus reducing the cost, schedule and integration risk for this program.
