BAE Systems: Will produce new combat vehicles


(CercleFinance.com) – BAE Systems and Koval Systems have signed a contract for the production of new infantry fighting vehicles (IFV), the CV90MkIV, for the Slovak armed forces.

The Slovak company Koval Systems has won a contract with BAE Systems Hägglunds, the producer of the CV90 family of vehicles, for the complete turret assembly of the CV90s under the Slovak program.

Koval Systems will also produce mechanical items for the turret. Together, the two companies have agreed to produce approximately 80 items on the Belusa site, with more items to come.

“The CV90 is a high-quality, high-performance vehicle on the market, proven in combat,” said Tommy Gustafsson-Rask, managing director of BAE Systems Hägglunds in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden.

“These new, high-value strategic partnerships will significantly help Slovakian industry in the long term,” added Ján Michálek, Commercial Director of Koval Systems in Beluša, Slovakia.
