Baldur’s Gate 3: an agreement reached with Microsoft, the RPG formalized on Xbox Series X and S!

Baldur’s Gate 3 continues to make people happy on PC, and in a few days, it will be the players on PlayStation 5 who will be able to discover the role-playing game of Larian Studios. The Belgian developer had announced during the formalization of this port that no exclusivity agreement with sony had not been signed, the door was wide open for an Xbox Series X|S version.

However, Larian Studios spoke at the time of the difficulties in making the local cooperative mode work on the Xbox Series X|Sa condition then mandatory to exit the RPG on the consoles of Microsoft. The problem of the cooperative mode is however not solved, but obviously, Microsoft will do a favor for the Belgian studio. Baldur’s Gate 3 will have local, same-screen co-op on Xbox Series X, but this feature will not be available on Xbox Series S, which will only have online multiplayer. Furthermore, of cross save between versions Steam and Xbox Series X|S will be offered to continue its game on computer or consoles, the title already requiring an account Larian to be launched on PC.
