Baldur’s Gate 3 finally advances its release to August 3

While Larian prepares the release of its next title with an interactive game on its site. However, the studio has decided to drop a bomb before its next Panel From Hell. The release date of Baldur’s Gate 3 is brought forward to August 3. Enough to give players time to do whatever they want. Unfortunately, while this is good news for PC gamers, the PS5 version has been pushed back to September 6. A slight delay that will not fail to frustrate some given the content planned for the launch.

A great comparison is also established with the previous game, Divinity: Original Sin 2. The latter already has a rich content, and yet Baldur’s Gate 3 surpasses it on all levels. It must be said that the license Dungeons & Dragons is already well established and massive. But Larian wanted to offer the most complete experience possible. 12 classes, 46 specializations, 11 races scattered over 31 peoples, 10 schools of magic. Suffice to say that if the story is already likely to take a moment, surveying the entire content will be a long-term task.

Of course, if Baldur’s Gate 3 was brought forward a few weeks to August, it’s not just because the studio considers it ready. With the arrival of Starfield on September 6, it was risky to offer a game with such dense content. Within days, many would have turned their attention to Bethesda’s highly anticipated title. To be on the safe side, advancing the release to August 3 seemed like the best idea.
