Baldur’s Gate 3 players will finally breathe. This particularly annoying problem has finally been corrected by Larian Studios thanks to a big update.
With all the big releases this year, it was difficult to predict that Baldur’s Gate 3 would be the one with the biggest critical success. Obviously, several juggernauts like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 or Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora must still arrive by the end of 2023, but you will have to get up early to do better than the title from Larian Studios, which has won over both the press and the players. In addition, Belgian developers continue to score points with the public with their regular updates which bring new features and correct annoying bugs, when they do not add others. A problem criticized, but which did not fail to make people laugh, has just been eradicated. The steamy scenes should be a little sexier.
An annoying problem in Baldur’s Gate 3 finally fixed
The last major update for Baldur’s Gate 3 finally added the option that everyone was waiting for: the one that allows you to change the appearance of your character during the adventure. This possibility was almost as expected as the correction of this particularly annoying bug for the players concerned. Since the RPG’s launch, many have been complaining about not being able to remove the clown makeup available in the game.
We understand their frustration, because even if this painting is nice, it can totally break the immersion during an important scene or even a romance. An inconvenience at the origin of a whole even : “clown sex”, where the characters wore the makeup in question during the most intimate moments. It was then necessary to be cunning to find a way to make it disappear, such as using the long rest at the camp, which did not always work. From now on, clown makeup will no longer traumatize the Baldur’s Gate 3 community, since the fix deployed by Larian in patch 3 allows the paint to be removed immediately after a long rest.
The latest update also adds a bunch of bugs
It’s a good thing that the studio finally reacted, because even though an issue like this may seem minor, it had a pretty serious impact on the gaming experience in the long run, especially during the more epic and serious scenes. Even several weeks after the release of Baldur’s Gate 3 on PC and PS5, Belgian developers are responding.
Remember that in parallel with these updates (and a photo mode also in high demand), they are also working on the Xbox version of the game, which will arrive at the end of November at the latest, as indicated by the director of the title Swen Vincke recently. Unfortunately, the latest update for Baldur’s Gate 3 didn’t just fix bugs, it also added new ones. It will take more than correcting the makeup problem to overcome the more annoying problems that have been added and which block players’ progress or taint their experience on both PC and PS5.
