Until now only accessible in dematerialized format, Baldur’s Gate 3 will soon be available in a very solid physical version.
Larian Studios has indeed not done things by halves and will for the occasion offer a Deluxe version for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, at the price of 79.99 euros. For this price, and given its name, you should expect a box full of beautiful things and… several discs for the console versions.
A Deluxe entry in physical version
Fans of games in physical version had to be champing at the bit waiting for something like this to happen for Baldur’s Gate 3. Officially released on August 3 on PC and September 6 on PS5, it currently only exists in a dematerialized version.
Never mind, Larian Studios has just recently revealed a much sought-after, more tangible edition and has afforded itself the luxury of offering it in a… Deluxe version. This is expected during the first quarter of 2024 on PC and new generation consoles at a price of 79.99 euros.
The Deluxe Edition means content that will arouse the desire of collectors and fans of the game. The details of the goodies it contains are as follows:
- A physical copy of the game (one disc for PC, two discs for PS5 and… three discs for Xbox Series (!);
- A world map ;
- The original soundtrack (on three discs);
- A poster featuring a mind flayer;
- A Deluxe Edition box (rather very pleasing to the eye);
- 32 stickers;
- Two badges.
Although it is a physical version, this Deluxe Edition also includes various digital elements, as follows:
- A pack of items related to divinity ;
- A pack of bard songs;
- An exclusive appearance for the die;
- Paintings by Rivellon (the world of divinity) ;
- An adventurer’s pocket;
- The original soundtrack in digital version;
- A digital artbook;
- Sheets Dungeons & Dragons digital characters of Baldur’s Gate 3.
While waiting for the dematerialized version on Xbox
For their part, Xbox players are still waiting for the game to be released purely and simply on their console. This should not take long, since a deployment of the game on Microsoft consoles in December has been mentioned.
For the exact date, you will have to follow the Game Awards 2023, the famous Geoff Keighley ceremony during which Baldur’s Gate 3 was showered with nominations, neck and neck with Alan Wake 2 (8 each).
Considering the fact that Larian Studios’ event game will undoubtedly be entitled to several moments of glory, the opportunity was too good to miss in order to announce the good news to Xbox Series owners. See you on December 7!
