Baldur’s Gate III is coming to PC and PS5 August 31, 2023

Just over two months after announcing the paladin’s arrival and a release window, Larian Studios finally confirms the final date for its next title. And it is from August 31, 2023 that players on PC, Mac and PS5 will be able to begin their adventure on Baldur’s Gate III. To celebrate, a new cinematic is unveiled, presenting some upcoming features and getting started with a controller.

Obviously, a lot of content is still to be expected for Early Access. Today, it is the necromancer General Ketheric Thorm who is honored. He is one of the main antagonists of the adventure and will have to be defeated to get rid of the larva present in the brains of the adventurers. But this trailer also shows an interface entirely designed for controllers to make the game smoother. It will also be possible to play in split screen to enjoy the adventure with a companion.

Baldur’s Gate III in the colors of Divinity

While waiting for its release on August 31, Baldur’s Gate III expands its offer with a digital Deluxe edition. The latter will only be available at the launch of the game, with many elements inspired by the saga Divinity. Additionally, players who already own a version of the title will receive a free upgrade to that edition on release day. It will thus be possible to enjoy the music or paintings of Divinity: Original Sin II while letting a bard play Lohse’s finest tunes.
