Ballerinas will once again be THE fashion trend of the moment in spring 2024. Our fashion editor doesn’t just rely on models in black or bow-look for a stylish appearance. She reveals: “I love ballerinas – and I have my eye on these models at the moment.”

As a fashion editor, while browsing through online shops (at work), you quickly fall in love with trends that are being hyped up. They then easily end up on your personal wish list. Or even better: in the shopping cart. That’s what I’m currently feeling with my latest fashion crush, ballerinas. I really liked the delicate shoes with ultra-flat soles last year, but I’m looking forward to expanding my collection in 2024. By several couples! Because ballerinas can deliver much more than a playful design with a small bow, a well-behaved preppy look and simple black going-out shoes. Here are three models that I currently have my eye on.

1. Mesh ballet flats

Whether with straps or without; in bright red or black – but the main thing is that it’s mesh. Transparent kicks have been on famous feet ever since I got them Seeing Dua Lipa or Zendaya is at the top of my wish list. More mesh is my motto and the choices are endless. Because the ballerina flats made of mesh are currently sold by many brands and have been chosen as the absolute it-piece. Personally, my fashion heart beats for fine mesh fabric, through which the toes really shine through. The more feet you see, the cooler I think the shoe is. The only drawback: This definitely requires a regular pedicure. But what can you do for your favorite fashion…

2. White ballerina

White shoes are impractical? Maybe, but also so beautiful! For me, white ballet flats are the new and cuter version of white sneakers and they definitely have to come into my home this spring. I can imagine the bright strappy shoes being particularly nice with a simple trouser suit or blue jeans, T-shirt and blouson. Sounds like a Parisian style? I find it too and have it white ballerina flats from Maria Luca Definitely with me on my next weekend trip to Paris.

3. Pointed ballet flats

Ballerina flats are definitely here to stay in my wardrobe! So that it doesn’t become boring or even stuffy, designers come up with a lot of ideas to give even simple models a twist. A high toe or very pointed toes, for example. The pointed tip also looks at the right place in every business meeting, but also enhances the popular pajama bottoms trend, and the high shaft gives the legs even more length. The Scandi girls also like this and they inspire me to buy these ballerinas every day.
