Well, if the little earthling doesn’t even become a real water rat! He has already chosen the right place of birth: on a Norway ferry in the Baltic Sea.

For some babies, the calculated due date is more of a guideline. That’s why there are always reports that the new earthlings are on their way to special places. Just recently, a mother gave birth to her son in an office in Berlin.

Last Saturday around 3 p.m., the crew of the Norway ferry “Color Fantasy” informed the sea rescue service about the onset of labor in a Norwegian passenger, according to a spokesman for the German Society for the Rescue of Shipwrecked Persons (DGzRS) on Monday. At the time of the onset of labor, the ship had not been long on the road. The starting point was Kiel, at the level of the Kiel lighthouse it started.

Before the helicopter arrived, the baby was already in the world

The DGzRS switched on the control center in Stavanger in Norway for support. After consulting the captain, those responsible decided to take the pregnant woman off the ship with a helicopter and take her to a hospital.

The plan was plausible, but it didn’t work out. The baby had slightly different plans. When the helicopter arrived, the little boy was already there. Born on the high seas, not everyone has such a birth story. And promptly it went on the first helicopter flight. Mother and child were flown back to a hospital in Kiel – both are doing well. The “Color Fantasy” was then able to continue her journey.
