(Boursier.com) — Balyo a technology leader in the design and development of innovative robotic solutions for handling trucks, announces the signing of a contract with Auchan for the management of more than 2,000 pallets within its logistics distribution center.
Auchan Retail France thus wishes to accelerate the adoption of handling robots and entrusts BALYO with the autonomous storage and retrieval of 2,000 high-rise pallets within its logistics platform.
As a reminder, the center inaugurated in 2021 has been operational with a fleet of robots since the fall of 2021. It is a traditional logistics cell formerly operated by a 3PL, since transformed in order to process the movement of pallets “quay to quay “completely independently. Delivery and storage operations are carried out there in real conditions, representative of those of logistics warehouses or production sites.
This collaboration with Auchan provides for the storage and retrieval of more than 2,000 pallets for a renewable period of 6 months, according to an offer for pallet movement “as a service”, i.e. paid for storage and movement of palette. The pallets will be stocked for 3 weeks in reach robot aisles (3.1m) and narrow (1.9m), with up to 200 pallets stocked per day over an 8 hour period.
