Disney presents the newest live-action project with “Bambi”. The remake should let the story of the magical fawn shine in new splendor and convince both old and new fans. The media group’s live-action remakes that have appeared in the past have already caused great enthusiasm. Including the recently released film “The Little Mermaid (2023)”.

Bambi: start date
The remake was announced in 2020. However, no start date has yet been published. This is not surprising, however, as there are still many question marks surrounding the new live-action film. Accordingly, a start before winter 2024 should not be expected.

Shortly after his birth, the little fawn Bambi causes all sorts of hustle and bustle in his forest. When a tragedy occurs one day in which his mother is shot by a hunter, life changes for Bambi and his father, the great king of the forest, abruptly. While the fawn seems to get little attention from his father, Bambi recognizes the importance of true friendship and meets his first great love.
Bambi: cast
Since the remake is a live-action version with animals, there will be no cast in the classic sense, but a cast of voices. It is not yet known which actors and actresses will lend their voices to Bambi, Klopfer, Blume, Feline and Co. We will keep you up to date with any news in this regard.

“Bambi” is in the early stages of development, so there is not much information about production yet. Oscar winner Sarah Polley (“The Talk”) is in talks to direct the remake. Among other things, Depth of Field will act as executive production company.
While there was talk of Geneva Robertson-Dworet (“Captain Marvel”) and Lindsey Beer (“Chaos Walking”) writing the script when the film was announced in 2020, it has now been reported that Micah Fitzerman-Blue and Noah Harpster to act as authors. The duo most recently co-wrote the screenplay for “Maleficent: Powers of Darkness” with Linda Woolverton.

Disney’s live-action remakes released to date have delighted audiences. So it wouldn’t be surprising if the fawn also impresses Bambi and his unique friends in the remake. It remains to be seen how Bambi’s story will be implemented using CGI and whether the fluffy friend’s ups and downs will be faithfully portrayed in the original.
