Unveiled during The Game Awards 2022, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden returns to give us some news during the Summer Game Fest 2023. The action-RPG presents a new trailer giving an overview of its gameplay but also of its story.
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden will put you in the shoes of Antea Duarte and Red mac Raith, a couple of ghost hunters also called Banishers, who have sworn to protect the living from the threat of ghosts and other ghosts. Unfortunately, a tragic event will transform Antea into a spirit of the same ilk as those she had sworn to banish. The couple will then have to leave to survey the haunted lands of North America to find how to free Antea from her ghost condition.
At the same time, the couple of Banishers will continue to relieve the communities of New Eden by cleaning up this world infested with supernatural creatures. Antea’s powers can also be combined with her husband’s arsenal to triumph over his wandering souls. But be careful because some decisions could impact the fate of all the inhabitants of New Eden, whether they belong to the world of the living or not.
