Bank of America: opening of an office in Luxembourg

(CercleFinance.com) – Bank of America announced on Wednesday the opening of an office in Luxembourg, thus confirming its interest in continental Europe following the United Kingdom’s exit from the European Union.

In a press release, the American banking group explains that this new branch will offer banking products and services to businesses and non-banking financial institutions (NBFIs).

With this opening, BofA says it wants to position itself in a key financial center, where many international companies have settled to conduct their activities within the European Union.

We thus find, among the main employers in the Grand Duchy, some heavyweights such as BNP Paribas, ArcelorMittal, Goodyear, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Amazon.com or Deloitte.

In addition, Luxembourg is now the world’s second largest center for investment funds, behind the United States.
