Daughter Malia let her boyfriend live with her: As Barack Obama revealed, the future son-in-law spent his quarantine there.

Former US President Barack Obama (59, "A Promised Land") has already got to know his future son-in-law intensively. As he revealed in the podcast by journalist Bill Simmons (51), the friend of his daughter Malia (22), the Briton Rory Farquharson, spent his post-entry quarantine with the family during the corona lockdown in the USA. "There was this whole Visa thing, he took a job here and then we took him in," said Obama about the "wonderful young man."

With a grin he added: "Actually, I didn't want to like him at first, but he's a good boy." The son of a banker from London stayed with the Obamas for a while and had a big appetite: "What young men can eat," said Obama. His food bill has risen by around 30 percent during this time.

What Obama taught him

The funniest moment with Farquharson was playing cards together. Among other things, he taught his future son-in-law to bluff. Obama is the father of two daughters, Sasha (19) and the aforementioned Malia. The latter met her current boyfriend while studying at the elite Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. They are said to have been a couple since 2017, and engagement rumors have already haunted the gossip columns.
