Barbara Cabrita, Odile Vuillemin and Jean-Michel Tinivelli in the next detective series of TF1 adapted from a Spanish fiction

TF1 has just announced the start of filming for “Rivière Perdue”, its new detective series carried by Barbara Cabrita, Odile Vuillemin and Jean-Michel Tinivelli, which is adapted from a successful Spanish fiction.

This Monday, June 5, TF1 began filming Rivière Perdue, its next detective event series adapted from the hit Spanish fiction Monterperdido. It is Jean-Christophe Delpias, who has notably worked on HPI, Tandem and Alice Nevers, who will be in charge of directing the 6 episodes of the series in the natural settings of the Pyrénées-Orientales.

If Olivier Marchal had originally been announced to camp one of the main characters of Rivière Perdue, it was finally Jean-Michel Tinivelli (Alice Nevers) who took his place.

At his side, TF1 viewers will be able to find a myriad of actors well known to the general public, in particular Barbara Cabrita (Escape, Grilled Chickens), Odile Vuillemin (Promethée), Bruno Debrandt (Caïn), Annelise Hesme (Nina), Nicolas Gob (The Art of Crime) and Kamel Belghazi (Tomorrow belongs to us).

Following a spectacular car accident, which has seen the reappearance of Anna, a teenager who has been missing for 5 years, Captain Alix Stern (Barbara Cabrita) and Commissioner Balthus (Jean-Michel Tinivelli) are deployed alongside Victor Ferrer ( Nicolas Gob), the head of the local gendarmerie, in order to find the trace of Lucie, a young girl kidnapped at the same time as Anna, and who has not reappeared.

Rivière Perdue is produced by Terence Films (Cut, Les innocents) and GTV productions, in co-production with TF1. The screenplays were written by Eugénie Dard (Lightning), Sylvain Caron (Balthazar) and Elsa Vasseur.

A success in Spain

Monteperdido, the series from which Rivière Perdue is adapted, was a real success in Spain when it was broadcast in the spring of 2019. It was also one of the most watched fictions on Spanish television that year.

A success which allowed the series to obtain a sequel, entitled Tramuntana, which was broadcast in January 2021 on La 1. Unfortunately, this sequel which took place in another region, while taking over actors from the first season, did not have the same success.
