On Monday July 6, 2020, eight new ministers or deputy ministers entered the Jean Castex government. Among them, Barbara Pompili has been appointed Minister of the Ecological and Inclusive Transition and replaces Élisabeth Borne. A few minutes after these long-awaited announcements, the new minister broke into a brief tweet but it couldn't be clearer: "At work!". Aged 45, Barbara Pompili was co-chair of the environmental group at the National Assembly from 2012 to 2016, Secretary of State for Biodiversity in 2016/2017 under François Hollande, MP under the Ecologist banner from 2012 to 2016 and then under that of the Republic on the March since 2017. His companion Christophe Porquier, candidate for the 2020 municipal elections

A resident of Amiens since 2006, Barbara Pompili is in a relationship with Christophe Porquier, former president of the Picardy regional council and former member of Europe Ecologie Les Verts. Christophe Porquier was a candidate in the 2020 municipal elections as head of the "Amiens en couleurs" list. His partner Barbara Pompili was fourth on the list. Christophe Porquier lost in the first round, collecting only 9.72% of the vote. "I have been an ecologist for thirty years, I have had only one commitment in my life is ecology, he confided to the microphone of France Blue Picardy in March 2020. Even if today it is a bit fashionable and that we put in all the programs, for us ecology must be at the heart of the project and that is why this list has this original project and strong for Amiens ".
