After her award-winning and Oscar-nominated hits, Lady Bird (2017) and The Daughters of Doctor March (2019), Barbie will be Greta Gerwig’s fourth feature film. And the director herself, nominated for an Oscar, offers herself a crazy casting for a parody comedy that promises to be colorful. Besides Margot Robbie And Ryan Gosling, the other versions of the legendary doll brand will be interpreted by Issa Rae (Barbie president), Kate McKinnon (Barbie gymnast), Dua Lipa (Barbie mermaid), Emma Mackey (Barbie physicist), Alexandra Shipp (Barbie writer), Ritu Arya (Barbie journalist), Hari Nef (Barbie doctor), Ana Cruz Kayne (Barbie judge), Sharon Rooney (Barbie lawyer) and Nicola Coughlan (Barbie diplomat). The latter, whom you know as Penelope in the hit series The Bridgerton Chronicle, was only recently announced to the casting.
