You couldn’t escape it, on Wednesday July 19, one of the events of the summer was released on the screens, the film Barbie by Greta Gerwig. On the poster, Margot Robbie in the role of the star doll, and Ryan Gosling in that of her no less famous companion, Ken. Two actors who had already appeared in the same film, The Big Short (with a simple cameo for the young woman), and who should meet again soon for a prequel to the film Ocean’s 11.

If the choice of Margot Robbie to interpret the main role seems obvious today, the actresses Amy Schumer and Anne Hathaway had nevertheless been considered at first. It is thanks to her that Greta Gerwig was offered to direct Barbie.
The choice of Ryan Gosling had left no room for doubt, as director Greta Gerwig says: “We wrote the role especially for Ryan Gosling. Even though he’s terrific in drama, I knew he could be really funny because I’d seen him on Saturday Night Live. There was no plan B. It had to be Ryan“.
Barbie will not be visible in cinemas in Vietnam. The reason ? One of the Barbie scenes indeed shows the Line in nine strokes.
