Honesty is the best. Barbra Streisand probably thought that on her first date with James Brolin. She spoke to him so briskly.

The two Hollywood stars Barbra Streisand (81) and James Brolin (83) have been married since 1998 and are considered one of the model couples of the American dream factory. However, as the singer and actress revealed in an interview about her upcoming memoir “My Name is Barbra”, she initially insulted her current husband when they met: “I walked past him, touched his hair and said: ‘Who has your hair messed up?'”

Even at this moment she stuck to the truth, that was simply her nature, Streisand revealed in a conversation with CBS presenter Gayle King (68). She is not afraid to be honest with a potential lover.

“What else could I have said? ‘Hello, my name is Barbra’?” the music and acting icon explained her familiar saying. Brolin and Streisand met at a dinner party in 1996, when mutual friends wanted to aggressively set the two up. Brolin, who was also present for the interview, said of their first meeting that the Oscar winner immediately impressed him with her directness. He immediately found her “very attractive”; the connection with Streisand was immediate: “It was like a magic wand that said: Bing. Oh, oh, you’re screwed.”

James Brolin and Barbra Streisand have children from previous marriages

Two years later, the two were already married and have now been a married couple for 25 years. This is Brolin’s third marriage. He has two daughters and a son, the actor Josh Brolin (55), from previous relationships. Streisand was previously married to her colleague Elliott Gould (85) from 1963 to 1971, with whom she has their son Jason Gould (56), who also decided to pursue a career as a singer and actor.
